Style, Comfort and Convenience are offered at Hayfields Bed & Breakfast, a B&B in a heritage listed house, located in the town centre of East Fremantle, only 5 or 6 minutes by car or bus from the centre of Fremantle, Western Australia's famous port city. Colleen and Alan Hudson, with Beau and Jess (our loving Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) and Tabitha (our old tabby cat) would love to welcome you into our home. We invite you to share in the Style, Comfort and Convenience that we offer to both travellers and business people alike in our old home. We offer four accommodation choices: 1. A Luxury One-bedroom Apartment; 2. A King bed/Double spa room; 3. A Queen room; 4. A Twin room. Our Luxury Apartment and King/Spa rooms both have en-suites. Our Queen and Twin rooms do not have en-suites, but share the modernised original bathroom (which includes a full sized bath) as a private guest bathroom. Gowns are provided for guest use in all of our rooms. Solar-heated salt-water swimming pool; full breakfasts (included in the prices); and real convenience - to buses etc; free local phone calls. Our home is over 100 years old, with historical significance in the medical, police, music, municipal and transport areas. Hayfields was built by Horace Parker, first town clerk with the East Fremantle town council. His daughter, Dorothea, was W.A.'s first locally born female doctor. She used parts of our home as her waiting room and surgery. Anna Schaper, who lived here as a member of the second family to own the house, was the first female detective in the W.A. police force. Bon Scott, lead singer with AC/DC during the 1970's, lived here briefly during that time. Tony Hughes, previous owner of the house to ourselves, was designer of the new style of Perth's free CAT buses. Hayfields Bed & Breakfast is located on Canning Highway in the East Fremantle town centre. We are on a direct bus route between Perth (about 35/40 minutes) and Fremantle (5 or 6 minutes). Our location means that a direct drive from the domestic airport will have you with us in about 30 minutes. From the Perth International Airport it is almost as direct and just a few minutes longer. Fremantle, the lower reaches of the Swan River (the river which connects Perth and Fremantle), ocean beaches, restaurants, shopping and the like are just minutes away. We are really convenient to such venues as The Swan Yacht Club, The East Fremantle Yacht Club and The Trade Winds Hotel and function centre. |

Prices shown are for 2 people for 1 night stays. Discounts are offered for multiple night stays, but only for bookings made direct with Hayfields B&B. In addition we offer weekly discounts. For stays of 1 or 2 weeks we offer a 10% discount and for stays of 3 weeks or longer our discount offer is 15%. During Winter our special offer is "stay for a week and pay for only 5 nights". This includes the July school holidays. |

Bookings can only be made for a minimum of 2 nights. Bookings made in advance require a 25% deposit. This can be paid by personal cheque (confirmation when cheque is cleared); Visa, Bankcard or Mastercard or Money Order. Remainder of booking costs can be paid in the same way in addition to Cash and Traveller's cheques (Australian dollars). Our Cancellation is as follows: Cancellation more than 14 days prior to booked date - full refund, less any costs; Between 7 and 14 days prior - refund less the cost of 50% of one night's stay; Less than 7 days notice - refund less the cost of one full night's stay. |

For Directions Click here By car We are on the north side of Canning Hwy between Staton Road and Preston Point Road, next to Stateswim and opposite Red Rooster. From Perth take Mounts Bay Road and Stirling Highway through Nedlands, Claremont and Cottesloe, remaining on Stirling Hwy and follow Stirling Highway over the Stirling Bridge as you leave North Fremantle. Immediately over the bridge turn left into Canning Highway. We are on the left three doors past the large Roman Catholic church at the first traffic lights. By train Catch the train to Fremantle. The bus transfer station is located in the forecourt of the Fremantle Railway Station. Catch bus number 106 (from stand 11 or 13) and get off at the second stop after passing the Stirling Bridge. We are about 30 metres back towards Fremantle on the same side of the highway. By plane From the domestic airport go along Brearley Avenue and turn left into Great Eastern Highway. This becomes Canning Highway adjacent to Perth City and Burswood Casino complex. Follow this until you find us on your right after about 20 minutes driving, about a minute after the traffic lights at Petra Street. From the international airport follow Horrie Miller Drive, turn right into Tonkin Freeway, then left into Leach Highway. Follow this until you reach Stirling Highway after about 20/25 minutes driving. Turn right into Stirling Highway, then right into Canning Highway (second set of traffic lights).
